PER-RUMMET

The installation Per-rummet/The room of Per and the photo series Tomoyukis rum/ Tomoyukis' room deals with the theme of closed worlds, which was the subject for my final exhibition in 2001 at Valand College of Fine Arts, the five year program at the university in Gothenburg. The exhibition investigated such phenomena as fans/idols, fandom and collectors. What interests me is people's relationship to, and their fascination for hobbies and other such dedicated pursuits. I use myself, and draw from my own experiences, as well as participating with the people I involve in the works.
